Tripura Allocates 40% Budget to Tribal Welfare, Bru Resettlement
The leader of Tripura, a state in India, has promised to use a big part of the state's money, 40%, to help people from tribal communities and those who were moved from another area called Mizoram.
Many Bru families had to leave their homes years ago because of problems.
The government is now helping them find new homes and learn new skills so they can get jobs.
They are also giving them tools and driving licenses to help them become independent.
The leader said that past governments didn't help these people much, but his government is working hard to make sure everyone is taken care of and can earn a living.
Tripura's CM announced 40% of the 2025-26 budget will go towards tribal welfare.
The budget also focuses on the resettlement and skill development of Bru people.
