ITDA Audit Uncovers Rs 18.06 Lakh Fund Diversion
The ITDA in Rayagada did a check on its money and found that about 18 lakh rupees were taken in a wrong way.
A man named Nilakantha Pandit, who worked on the program, is accused of moving the money from seven small centers.
He sent the money to his wife, to himself, and to a company that bought machines.
The centers didn’t have receipts for the machines, so the money was not justified.
The police have started an investigation and a formal complaint has been filed.
ITDA audit found Rs 18.06 lakh misappropriated across seven VDVKs.
Accused official Nilakantha Pandit allegedly diverted funds between Oct 2024 and May 2026.
Funds were routed to the accused’s wife, to the accused himself, and to a Kataka firm for machinery.
No supporting bills exist for the machinery purchases, including a Rs 5.26 lakh purchase at Parsali VDVK.
An FIR has been lodged and police are investigating the case.
