Telangana Plans Mechanisation of Procurement Centres
The Telangana government is planning to use machines instead of people at places where farmers bring their crops for sale.
They want to put big machines that stack and bag the crops so trucks can load faster.
They also want to give more space for storing rice that is milled in the state.
The officials checked prices and found nothing wrong.
They met in Hyderabad to talk about all this and decided to start the plan soon.
Telangana government plans to mechanise Procurement Purchase Centres to address labour shortages.
The plan includes automated stackers and cleaner‑bagging machines to speed loading and transport.
Officials aim to clear dedicated storage space for Custom Milled Rice at Agricultural Market Committees.
Price monitoring across 11 centres shows no alarming price spikes.
Meeting chaired by Civil Supplies Commissioner M Stephen Raveendra with Agriculture Production Commissioner K Surendra Mohan and TG MARKFED Managing Director Rahul Raj.
