Calcutta Students Celebrate World Cup Final

Calcutta Students Celebrate World Cup Final

In Calcutta, India, school students are very excited about the FIFA World Cup Final between Argentina and Spain.

Many students are turning their living rooms into mini stadiums to watch the match together.

For example, a group of Class XII students from St James’ School are hosting a watch party at a New Alipore home, complete with flags, caps, and a barbecue.

They are also showing support for Cristiano Ronaldo, even though Portugal is not in the final.

Some schools, like Modern High School International and Calcutta International School, have changed their schedules to start classes later on Monday to accommodate the late-night match.

Other students, like those from La Martiniere for Girls, are planning their own gatherings.

Even if they can't be together in person, some students, like Sreya Sengupta from Modern High, are planning to watch the final virtually with their friends.

It's a big event for them, and they want to enjoy it together before they go to different cities for college.
