ABVP Detained in Ranchi March Over Jharkhand Exam Irregularities

In the Indian state of Jharkhand, many young people try to get government jobs by taking big exams.

Some students say those exams had problems and were unfair.

So the students started protesting and asking leaders to investigate.

They want a special police investigation and some exams to be cancelled.

On August 10, thousands of students marched to the government building in Ranchi.

Police used water cannons and tear gas to stop them, and some people on both sides got hurt.

The next day, a student group called ABVP marched again to complain about how the police treated the students.

Police detained some of the ABVP workers during that march.

Different leaders disagree about what should happen next.

Some leaders say the students are right to demand a fair investigation, while others say most of their demands have already been accepted.
