Security tightened at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park ahead of protest

Police brought extra security to Shivaji Park and Dadar station in Mumbai.

The Cockroach Janta Party planned to hold a protest there at 4 pm.

The party wants Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign.

Police did not give permission for the protest.

Officers, including women personnel, were placed at important locations.

Barricades were set up near the park.

Residents said the demonstration could disturb their neighbourhood.

Police said they were watching the situation and trying to protect public order and traffic movement.
