Delhi Intensifies Mosquito Control Efforts Amid Rising Concerns
Delhi is working harder to stop mosquitoes this year!
City workers are visiting more homes to check for mosquito breeding spots, like standing water.
They've sprayed more homes with bug spray too.
Unfortunately, they found more places where mosquitoes are growing, which means they're working harder to control mosquito populations.
They're also giving out more warnings and fines to people who have mosquito breeding areas on their property to try and stop the spread of diseases from mosquitoes.
They are using fish in stagnant water to kill the mosquito larvae.
Delhi has increased its mosquito control efforts with more house inspections and spraying.
Over 2.26 crore houses were inspected between January 1 and July 19, 2025.
Spraying operations have increased significantly compared to the previous year.
The number of houses positive for mosquito larvae has also risen.
Legal notices, prosecutions, and fines for mosquito breeding have increased.
