Elon Musk Criticizes Christopher Nolan Over Casting
Elon Musk, a famous tech billionaire, recently criticized filmmaker Christopher Nolan on the social media platform X. Musk's criticism was directed at Nolan's potential casting of actress Lupita Nyong'o as Helen of Troy in his upcoming film, The Odyssey.
Some people online felt that casting Nyong'o, who is not blonde or fair-skinned, would be disrespectful to the original description of Helen of Troy from the ancient Greek epic poem.
The film, which is an adaptation of The Odyssey, is notable for being the first narrative feature shot entirely using IMAX cameras.
It also boasts a star-studded cast, including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Anne Hathaway, among others.
The film's release date and further details about Nyong'o's role have not been announced yet.
