Dutch and UK Gas Prices Dip Amid Rising Norwegian Supply
Gas prices in the Netherlands and the UK went down a little bit.
This is because Norway is sending more gas.
It's also because people aren't using as much gas for heating because it's getting warmer.
Although it is getting warmer, the high temperatures will increase demand for power from cooling.
Forecasters predict very high temperatures in the coming days, with temperatures in some parts of Britain nearly matching the record for the hottest June day.
Dutch and British wholesale gas prices decreased on Monday morning.
The Dutch front-month contract fell to 32.35 euros per megawatt-hour.
The British front-month contract decreased to 75.50 p/therm.
Gas supply from Norway increased due to easing maintenance.
Temperatures are expected to rise, increasing demand for cooling.
