Four Migrants Die in ICE Custody in 2026

In the first 10 days of 2026, four migrants died while in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

These migrants were from Honduras, Cuba, and Cambodia.

The deaths happened in different places, like Texas, California, and Philadelphia.

One person died after being disruptive and placed in isolation, two died from heart problems, and one died from severe drug withdrawal.

Last year, there were 30 deaths in ICE custody, which is the highest in 20 years.

A group called Detention Watch Network says these deaths are very concerning and wants the detention centers to be closed.

The Trump administration is detaining more migrants and has increased deportations.
