Nature Trumps Technology: Oyster Study Shows Natural Advantage
A scientist named Ajai Sonkar found that oysters grow better when they're in a natural environment, like the ocean, instead of a lab.
He tested this by putting oysters in two places: one in a special lab with filtered water and the other in the ocean.
The oysters in the lab didn't do as well; many died, and the pearls they made weren't good.
But, the oysters in the ocean lived and made great pearls!
Sonkar says nature is smarter than even the best technology humans can make, and we should respect its ways.
Marine biologist Ajai Kumar Sonkar's experiments showed oysters thrived better in natural environments.
Oysters were cultivated in both controlled, artificial and natural sea environments.
Oysters in the controlled environment had lower survival rates and produced lower quality pearls.
Oysters in the natural environment had nearly all oysters survive, with high-quality pearls.
Sonkar suggests that nature's complexity and diversity surpass human technology.
