Porsche Reverses EV Plans for Petrol Engines
Porsche is changing its plan to go fully electric.
The company will still make petrol versions of its 718 Boxster and Cayman sports cars, especially the high-performance ones.
However, entry-level 718 models will still be electric.
Porsche is also launching a new petrol-powered SUV called the M1, and will continue to offer petrol and hybrid versions of the Panamera and Cayenne.
This change is happening because people are not buying electric luxury cars as quickly as expected, and Porsche wants to stay flexible.
