Bhopal Police Launch Cattle Safety Initiative with Reflective Belts
Cows and other stray animals on roads at night can be hard to see, leading to accidents.
To address this, Bhopal police are putting reflective belts on these animals.
These belts make the animals visible to drivers, especially during the monsoon season when accidents are more common.
The police and local residents are working together on this.
They've already put belts on about 100 animals and aim to do more, hoping to make roads safer.
The police also urge drivers to be cautious.
Katara Hills police launched a campaign to equip stray cattle with reflective belts.
The initiative aims to reduce road accidents at night.
The campaign is spearheaded by Inspector Sunil Dubey.
Around 500 reflective belts were procured with funding from police and locals.
Nearly 100 cattle have already been fitted with the safety belts.
