NATO Responds to Russian Missile Crash in Poland
A missile that Russia was using against Ukraine accidentally fell into Poland.
The crash left a big hole in the ground.
NATO and Polish forces quickly turned on their planes and helicopters to protect the area.
NATO said it would keep defending its members.
Polish leaders said the missile was a Russian Kh-101.
A Russian missile crashed into Polish territory, creating a 10‑meter crater.
NATO and Poland activated air and ground defenses, scrambling F‑16s, an Airbus A330 tanker, a Saab 340 AWACS, and a Mi‑24 helicopter.
NATO spokesman Martin O'Donnell said the alliance was in close contact with Warsaw and would take all necessary measures to defend territory.
