Two Indian Seafood Dishes Ranked Among World's 100 Most Iconic
Two Indian favourites make TasteAtlas’ World’s 100 Most Iconic Seafood Dishes list · indianexpress.com

There is a website called TasteAtlas that makes lists of the best foods from around the world.

It recently made a list of the 100 most famous seafood dishes.

Two dishes from India made it onto the list.

The first is Chingri Malai Curry, a prawn curry from West Bengal with creamy coconut milk.

It came in at number 63.

The second is Karimeen Pollichathu from Kerala, a fish dish cooked inside a banana leaf.

It came in at number 94.

A chef explained that the banana leaf keeps the fish soft and adds a nice earthy smell.

Another food expert said Bengali cooking is different from cooking in Malaysia and Singapore because it does not use lemongrass or galangal.

TasteAtlas says the list is meant to celebrate local food and make people curious about new dishes.
