Delhi Police File FIRs Against Gandhi Leaders After Protest

Opposition politicians protested in New Delhi on Wednesday.

They wanted election chief Gyanesh Kumar to resign over alleged problems with changes to voter lists.

Police stopped them as they travelled toward Jantar Mantar, and 91 people were detained.

Police said three cases had been registered and that more were being filed.

The cases name Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, among others.

Police allege that some protesters assaulted or obstructed officers, and say they are checking what happened.

Priyanka Gandhi and other women leaders lay on the road holding a copy of the Constitution before being taken away.

She alleged that force was used against protesters.
