Devotees Throng Ashtadasa Peethas During Navaratri
During the Dasara festival, many people visited two special temples dedicated to goddesses.
These temples, located in different districts of Andhra Pradesh, are called Ashtadasa Peethas.
Devotees offered prayers and performed special rituals.
Unlike other temples during this festival, these specific goddesses were not decorated.
At one temple, the Srichakram and Goddess Manikyamba are in the same place, a rare occurrence.
Authorities made sure there were separate idols for the devotees to worship.
Temple officials ensured devotees could visit without any trouble until Vijaya Dasami day.
Devotees visited the Goddess Manikyamba Temple in Draksharama and Goddess Puruhutika Temple in Pithapuram.
They performed kumkum and special poojas during Dasara Navaratri.
The Ashtadasa Peethas are not decorated like other Goddess temples.
Srichakram and Goddess Manikyamba are together at the Manikyamba Temple.
Officials arranged for devotees to have darshan until Vijaya Dasami.
