PoK Group Calls Pakistan's Independence Day 'Black Day'

PoK Group Calls Pakistan's Independence Day 'Black Day'

There is a region called Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, or PoK, where many people call themselves Kashmiris.

A group called the Awami Action Committee says Pakistan's government and soldiers treat them badly.

The group says Pakistani soldiers recently fired guns and killed nearly 100 people there.

Pakistan celebrates its Independence Day every year on August 14.

This year, the committee wants to call August 13 and 14 'Black Days' instead of a celebration.

They asked Kashmiris living in other countries to protest outside Pakistani embassies on those days.

The protests are meant to show the world that the group is not happy with Pakistan.

The committee says it will keep fighting 'till the last breath' until Kashmir is free.

It hopes the world will pay attention to what is happening in PoK.
