Gold Prices Fall Across Indian Cities on August 28
Gold became cheaper in many Indian cities on August 28, 2026.
The national reported price for 22-carat gold was ₹14,730 for one gram.
This was ₹290 lower than the previous day.
An eight-gram amount cost ₹1,17,840, down ₹2,320.
The prices were different from city to city.
Delhi listed 24-carat gold at ₹15,488 per gram.
Mumbai and Pune listed it at ₹15,435 per gram.
Kolkata had one of the highest listed 24-carat prices, at ₹15,540 per gram.

Delhi’s 24-carat rate was ₹15,488 per gram, while Mumbai and Pune reported ₹15,435 per gram.
Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam, Madurai, Thrissur and Vijayawada reported 24-carat gold at ₹15,383 per gram.
All listed city rates were reported lower than the previous day, with 24-carat declines of ₹304 or ₹305 per gram.
