Sikkim Plans Second Digital Nomad Village in Gumpa Dara
Imagine a place where people can work remotely using super-fast internet while enjoying beautiful scenery.
That's the idea behind Sikkim's digital nomad villages.
The first one, in Yakten, is already working well.
Now, they're building another one in Gumpa Dara.
These villages will have great internet, places to work together, and eco-friendly spaces.
They also have homestays.
It's a way to bring in tourists who also work online, boosting the local economy and creating jobs.
The project is a partnership between local government and other groups.
It’s designed to create a great experience for visitors and help the local communities thrive.
Sikkim is expanding its 'digital nomad village' initiative.
Gumpa Dara will be the second such village.
The project aims to provide high-speed internet and eco-friendly infrastructure.
The initiative seeks to diversify the economy and promote sustainable tourism.
The project builds on the success of the Yakten digital nomad village.
