BRS Urges Bullet Train Stop at Zaheerabad
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has asked the government to include Zaheerabad in the plan for the Hyderabad–Mumbai Bullet Train.
They say Zaheerabad is an important industrial area with many big companies and a lot of job opportunities.
The BRS thinks a bullet train stop there would help the economy grow and make it easier for people and goods to move around.
The government hasn't decided yet, but the BRS is hopeful that their request will be considered.
BRS delegation met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to urge inclusion of Zaheerabad in the DPR for the Hyderabad–Mumbai High-Speed Rail Corridor.
Zaheerabad is highlighted for its strategic and industrial importance, including the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) and Industrial Smart City.
The NIMZ project spans 12,656 acres with 8,000 acres already acquired, expected to create over 3 lakh jobs.
Major industries like Mahindra Group, Allana Group, and Piramal Group are present in Zaheerabad.
