Railway Safety Inspection Begins for New Peralam-Karaikal Train Line
The Commissioner of Railway Safety is checking out a new train track between Peralam and Karaikal.
This is to make sure it's safe for trains to run on.
They're looking at the tracks, bridges, and signals.
This new track is replacing an old one, and it will allow trains to run on this route again after many years.
They will ride a special train to make sure everything is working properly.
This is good news for people who need to travel by train in this area.
The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) began a two-day inspection of the new Peralam-Karaikal broad gauge railway line.
The inspection includes the track, bridges, signaling systems, and other safety infrastructure.
The new line replaces a metre gauge line that ceased service four decades ago.
