BJP seeks court permission for protests in West Bengal
In West Bengal, India, the BJP party wants to hold a protest outside the state government's office, Nabanna, after some government officials allegedly stopped a search by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The police said no to their request, so the BJP asked the court for permission.
Meanwhile, Suvendu Adhikari, a leader from the BJP, asked the court to investigate an attack on his car by people he says are from the TMC party.
He thinks the local police didn't do enough to help, so he wants a special team from the central government to look into it.
Both sides are arguing in court about these issues.
BJP seeks Calcutta High Court permission to protest outside Nabanna after ED raids faced obstruction.
ED conducted raids on January 8 at I-PAC office and residence of its chief, with CM Mamata Banerjee and officials present.
