BJP Questions Funding for Rahul Gandhi’s Pune Event

BJP Questions Funding for Rahul Gandhi’s Pune Event

Rahul Gandhi planned a student programme called “Chhatron Ki Goonj” in Pune.

The event was meant especially for female students and was scheduled for Saturday.

The BJP gave it another name, “Paise Ki Goonj.”

It accused Congress of paying social media influencers to bring people to the programme.

The BJP said influencers may have been offered Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 each.

It estimated that the total spending could be as much as Rs 10 crore and asked where the money came from.

Congress leader Sachin Sawant rejected the claims and said the BJP was worried about Gandhi’s support among young people.

Other opposition leaders also accused authorities and ABVP members of making it harder for students to attend.

These claims and counterclaims were made before the event and were not independently established in the reports.
