Yunikee Helps Deaf Indians Gain Skills, Jobs and Exam Success

Yunikee is an organization that helps deaf people learn, work and become more independent.

It was started in 2020 by Nita, Chaithanya and Rahul.

They created it after seeing that deaf students often could not access online education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yunikee teaches Indian Sign Language and offers many skill-based courses.

It also helps people prepare for government exams.

More than 140 deaf people have received exam training, and 40 reportedly got jobs.

The group supports deaf entrepreneurs with business lessons and practical help.

It has also helped deaf people in Pakistan learn hairdressing and makeup skills.

The founders say they want to continue expanding opportunities for the deaf community.
