Iran Warns United States Over Israeli Attack on Hezbollah Ridge
Ali al-Taher is a mountain ridge in southern Lebanon controlled by Hezbollah.
Israel has taken land nearby and says the ridge is important for its military operations.
Some officials say Iranian military personnel are hiding there with Hezbollah fighters.
Iran reportedly warned the United States that attacking the ridge could lead to a major Iranian attack.
Israel has pressured the area instead of launching a full assault, according to the report.
It has reportedly tried to stop food and water from reaching fighters underground.
Hezbollah says a large attack would restart a much bigger war.
The United States said the report about its warning was not accurate, and the military claims could not be independently verified.

Israel has occupied territory south of the ridge and calls Ali al-Taher a primary operational focus.
Israeli forces have reportedly besieged the ridge, while Hezbollah says fighters can still enter from the north.
