Kenvue Launches ORSL and eRZL for Hydration
Kenvue, a company that used to be part of Johnson and Johnson, has created two new drink brands to help people stay hydrated.
One brand, ORSL, is for when people have diarrhea and need special salts to stay hydrated.
The other brand, eRZL, is for everyday use when people feel tired or need extra hydration.
The eRZL drink has more electrolytes and less sugar than before, and it includes important minerals, vitamins, and real fruit juice.
The company made these changes because the Indian government said companies can't use the ORS label on regular drinks.
Kenvue wants to meet the growing demand for healthier drink options in India.
Kenvue launched two new brands, ORSL and eRZL, to address diarrhoeal and everyday hydration needs.
ORSL is based on the WHO formula for diarrhoeal dehydration, available in ready-to-drink and powder formats.
eRZL is a science-backed electrolyte drink for everyday hydration, with 1.4X more electrolytes and 8X less sugar than the previous composition.
The eRZL drink contains Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Vitamin C, and real fruit juice.
The FSSAI has disallowed the use of the ORS label on beverages, leading to the brand differentiation.
