Left Parties Protest NEP 2020, Demand Pradhan's Resignation
Some political parties in India, called Left parties, had a protest in Bhubaneswar.
They want the Education Minister to quit and a new education policy to be canceled.
They say the current policy and the way exams are run are causing problems.
They also don't like how the government is handling student protests in Delhi.
They want better, fairer exams and for the government to take care of students' well-being.
They also criticized the state government for mistakes in school books and want those books to be fixed.
Four Left parties protested in Bhubaneswar demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the withdrawal of NEP 2020.
Protesters alleged irregularities in national entrance examinations, failure of the National Testing Agency (NTA), and commercialization of education.
They condemned the use of police force against students protesting in Delhi and demanded the government address students' legitimate demands.
The parties called for the abolition of NTA, an impartial inquiry into its functioning, and measures to ensure transparency in examinations.
They also demanded stringent action against those responsible for student suicides, an end to the commercialization of education, and the resignation of Odisha's School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond.
