XLRI Hosts 33rd JRD Tata Oration on Business Ethics
Imagine a big school for business called XLRI, which is very old and cares a lot about doing things the right way.
They had a special talk called the JRD Tata Oration.
This year, a very important person named Dr. Sanjay Pradhan came to speak.
He talked about how being good and doing the right thing, which is called ethics, isn't actually bad for businesses.
He said it's actually super important for a business to be successful in the long run.
He gave examples of companies that were good and did well, and also companies that weren't so good and got into trouble.
Dr. Pradhan also talked about new ideas like making sure computers (AI) are used ethically, taking care of our planet, and stopping people from being unfair.
He explained that being ethical helps businesses make money and do good things at the same time.
XLRI Jamshedpur hosted the 33rd Annual JRD Tata Oration on Business Ethics.
Dr. Sanjay Pradhan, President of the World Forum for Ethics in Business (WFEB), was the distinguished speaker.
The oration focused on the theme "Business and Ethics: Contradictory or Complementary?"
