ACC Q1 Profit Drops 61% Due to Maintenance Shutdowns

ACC, a major cement company, reported a big drop in profit for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027.

Their profit fell by 61% compared to the same period last year.

This happened because they had to shut down some of their plants for maintenance and faced higher costs for fuel and logistics.

Despite these challenges, the company sold a lot of cement and increased the share of premium products.

They also plan to buy a stake in a renewable energy company.

The company expects that long-term growth will be supported by infrastructure spending and urbanization, but near-term demand might be affected by the monsoon and other uncertainties.
