Panna’s Tigress and Cubs Delight Visitors in Vindhyan Forest

Panna’s Tigress and Cubs Delight Visitors in Vindhyan Forest

Panna is a forest in India where tigers once disappeared because of poaching.

In 2009, forest officials brought tigers from other parks to help rebuild the population.

The effort worked, and tigers began having cubs again.

A visitor went to Panna in May to see wildlife.

The visitor spotted a chinkara and two rare-looking female chausingha.

Later, tigress P-142 came to a pond with her three cubs.

The cubs splashed and played in the water while their mother drank and watched over them.

The family then walked back into the grass.
