Dudhwa Tiger Reserve Survey Discovers New Beetle Species
Scientists went on a bug hunt in Dudhwa Tiger Reserve and found 19 different types of tiger beetles, which are fast, colorful insects.
This was exciting because four of these types had never been seen before in Uttar Pradesh!
This survey was part of a special event to learn more about these beetles and other small creatures.
The scientists are happy because it shows how important it is to protect all kinds of animals, not just the big ones.
A survey in Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR) recorded 19 tiger beetle species.
Four tiger beetle species were discovered for the first time in Uttar Pradesh.
The survey was part of the 'Tiger Beetle India Fest 2025' organized by ROAR.
The survey was the second of its kind in Uttar Pradesh, the first in 1980.
The discovery highlights DTR's biodiversity.
