Germany’s minimum wage and mini-job limit will rise in 2027
From 1 January 2027, Germany’s minimum wage will rise to €14.60 an hour, up from €13.90.
The change affects workers across Germany, including people in mini-jobs, which have a monthly earnings limit.
Because that limit is linked to the minimum wage, the mini-job limit will increase from €603 to €633 a month.
That allows mini-job workers to earn up to €30 more each month, or €360 more over a year.
The limit is a maximum, not a guaranteed wage: the hours a worker can do depend on their hourly pay.
At the new minimum wage, a worker can do about 43 hours a month without exceeding the limit.
The increases were approved by the German cabinet in 2025 following a recommendation from the minimum wage commission.
