Galaxy Z Fold8 sales in South Korea rise more than 20% in a week

Sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 rose more than 20% in South Korea in the week after Apple launched the iPhone Duo.

The increase was compared with the previous week, according to figures from the telecom industry.

Samsung’s foldable phone is competing with new devices as the market for foldable phones heats up.

The Galaxy Z8 series set a Samsung presale record in South Korea in July, selling 1.44 million units during advance orders.

Samsung says hinge technology, durability and Galaxy AI features helped attract buyers.

The company has extended its New Galaxy AI Subscription Club sign-up deadline to November 30 and is running year-end promotions through December 31.

The offers include trade-in value guarantees, Samsung Wallet points for reviews and discounts on Galaxy Buds4 for eligible students.
