PSG and Barcelona meet in a Champions League heavyweight clash

Paris Saint-Germain host Barcelona in Paris on Tuesday in a Champions League match between two teams seen as contenders.

Both clubs have won their first two matches in this season’s competition.

Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal, 19, has nine goals and 10 assists across all competitions this season.

PSG coach Luis Enrique says keeping the ball from Barcelona is key to limiting Yamal, while stressing that defending him will take a team effort.

Barcelona’s Nuno Mendes is out injured, and Yamal is likely to face Lucas Digne instead.

The result is worth three points, but Enrique says this early match will not determine which teams compete for the trophy in April.

The competition will start in April, not now. And the teams that are there in April will compete for the trophy. This will be a very competitive match, but it's just three points at stake.
