Dodo Pizza enters Mexico with a plan for 200 restaurants by 2035

Dodo Pizza has entered Mexico with a plan to open 200 restaurants by 2035.

Its first location is in Zapopan, in the state of Jalisco, and covers about 55 square metres.

The compact restaurant focuses on takeaway orders, with a small seating area and menu items adapted to local tastes.

The Russian-founded chain uses its own cloud-based system to manage restaurant operations and support its franchise network.

Mexico’s pizza market was valued at $4.12 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $6.26 billion by 2030, with competition from international chains and independent pizzerias.

Reaching 200 locations will depend on growing the franchise network and competing with established operators.
