Amorim says he is focused on winning games at AC Milan

Ruben Amorim said he was focused on winning games as AC Milan coach, despite growing pressure around his job.

Milan began their Europa League campaign with a 2-0 home defeat to Benfica, while Red Bull Salzburg opened with a 1-0 win over Levski Sofia.

The teams met in Salzburg in the Europa League, with Milan seeking to recover ground and Salzburg looking to build on its winning start.

Amorim said he avoids newspapers and television to concentrate on his work, but accepted that clubs expect results quickly.

Milan had 10 shots on target, compared with Salzburg’s two, although the match statistics provided no final score.

Milan had not lost any of its first six Serie A matches, but three of its last four league games had ended in draws.

The statistics show Milan created more accurate attempts, while Salzburg had slightly more possession; the sources give no further result or next step.
