São Paulo court seizes Daniel Alves’s farm and Porsche over R$7.7m debt

A São Paulo court ordered the seizure of assets belonging to Daniel Alves over a debt claim of 7.7 million reais.

The order covers a 64.4-hectare farm and half of another property in Juazeiro, Bahia, as well as a 2021 Porsche 911 Carrera.

The case was brought by the GAD credit fund, which says Alves did not pass on money owed under an agreement linked to his departure from São Paulo FC in 2021.

The club had agreed to pay Alves 22.8 million reais in instalments, and in 2022 he sold the rights to the remaining payments to GAD for 11.5 million reais.

Payments to the fund stopped in 2023, after Alves was detained in Spain and his former wife and representative said she did not know about the agreement; the fund also said some club payments went toward child support.

The fund is seeking R$7.7 million through the courts, and the seized assets are intended to secure the claim.

The case remains before a São Paulo court, with no final ruling or release date stated.
