Wembanyama scores 43 as Spurs beat Timberwolves 121-111

Victor Wembanyama scored a season-high 43 points as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 121-111 on Saturday in San Antonio.

The win was San Antonio's fourth in a row.

Wembanyama also had seven rebounds; accounts differed on his blocks, listing five or six.

His 43 points came on a career-high 34 shots, and he became the first Spurs player since David Robinson in 1996 to record at least 40 points and five blocks.

The Spurs had not won either of the previous two games in which Wembanyama attempted at least 30 shots.

Minnesota was without star Anthony Edwards and center Rudy Gobert, as well as Donte DiVincenzo, and lost for the third time in four games.

Dylan Harper scored 25 points and De’Aaron Fox added 22 for San Antonio.

The Spurs' winning streak continues into their next game.
