APC asks INEC to bar non-compliant parties from 2027 election

The APC wants Nigeria’s election commission to check whether parties followed the rules for submitting membership lists.

The Supreme Court ruling cited by the party says parties that miss the deadline could be barred from fielding candidates in 2027.

The lists also determine who can take part in party primaries and other internal elections.

INEC’s decision could affect which parties and candidates appear on the ballot.
