Turkey plans 18.6 billion lira for regional development from 2027 to 2029

Turkey’s Industry and Technology Ministry plans 18.6 billion lira for regional development from 2027 to 2029.

The plans cover four regions served by the GAP, DAP, DOKAP and KOP development administrations, which work across 43 provinces.

The program aims to reduce development gaps between regions and strengthen local economies.

Its proposed investments have different priorities: crop production in GAP, irrigation in DAP and KOP, and tourism in DOKAP.

Across the four administrations, planned investment funding totals 12.56 billion lira over the three years.

The broader work also includes agriculture, rural development, education and culture; by mid-year, 76 projects had been completed and 508 were ongoing.

The budgets are planned for the 2027-2029 period, with no further approval or implementation details given.
