Ecuadorian conjoined twins José Armando and José Luis Cevallos die at 27

Ecuadorian brothers José Armando and José Luis Cevallos died at 27 on October 15 while in Colombia.

They were born joined at the pelvis and shared a liver and intestine, while each had a heart.

Doctors had once expected them to live only a few months, but they lived for 27 years.

After José Luis became ill, he suffered a cardiac arrest and doctors stabilized him; soon after, José Armando had a heart attack, and both died.

The brothers had said they did not want to be separated, and a trusted companion said doctors had considered saving one of them but he did not accept that option.

They had traveled to Colombia in April for therapy in the hope of being able to walk, and their family is asking for help to bring them home to Milagro.

The brothers also pursued music, recording a song in 2016 and hoping to make a music video.
