Jinzhong in Shanxi province has set out plans to strengthen specialty agriculture during China's 2026–2030 planning period.

It also aims to increase annual beef cattle output from 200,000 to 250,000 and expand a chicken industry park in Pingyao.

The plans include growing agricultural businesses and food processing, with processing sales targeted to rise from 50 billion yuan to 60 billion yuan.

Jinzhong also plans to develop two regional food brands, with their operating systems expected to launch in 2027.

The city says it will link farming with tourism and other rural activities to support local jobs and incomes.
