India open U19 Women's T20 World Cup title defence against West Indies

The 2027 U19 Women's T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by Bangladesh and Nepal from January 21 to February 6.

Defending champions India face the West Indies on January 22 in Kathmandu, which includes the city of Kirtipur.

India have won both previous editions, in 2023 and 2025, and are seeking a third title in a row.

Sixteen teams will play 41 matches across venues in Chattogram, Sylhet and Kathmandu.

The group stage runs through January 26, after which qualifying teams move into the Super Six; the top two from each Super Six group reach the semi-finals.

The semi-finals are scheduled for February 4 and the final for February 6, with reserve days set for February 5 and 7, respectively.
