Lucasfilm Reportedly Seeks a Studio for a New Star Wars Battlefront
Lucasfilm is reportedly seeking a studio for a new Star Wars Battlefront.
The last main game in the series, Battlefront 2, came out almost a decade ago, and fans have wanted a follow-up.
Bungie and EA DICE are said to be possible developers, but neither has been confirmed for the project.
EA DICE made the two previous games, while Bungie is known for Halo, Destiny and Marathon.
A new Battlefront would bring the series back, but the choice of studio could shape what kind of game it becomes.
Bungie is between projects, and the account says Destiny 2 is on pause apart from the return of older content.
There is no confirmed developer or announcement date, and a new major game could take years to reach players.

The reports come from a rumor in Electronic Gaming Monthly’s Quartermann column, discussed by Giant Bomb cohost Jeff Grubb.
