Kawasaki beat Iwata 4-0 as teenager Nishino makes full debut

Kawasaki Frontale beat Júbilo Iwata 4-0 in a Levain Cup third-round match at Iwata's Yamaha Stadium on October 14.

Iwata play in Japan's second division, while Kawasaki are in the top division.

Sixteen-year-old Hinata Nishino made his first senior competitive start for Iwata, stepping up from the club's under-18 team.

He played the full match at centre-back and made a forward pass that helped create an early chance.

Iwata could not score, despite creating opportunities and continuing to attack after falling behind.

Coach Tadanori Akiba praised Nishino's calm performance, while the teenager said he had learned from the physical gap and finishing ability of top-flight players.

Nishino said he will keep training and prepare for future league chances.
