Window falls on teacher at school in Cesena, causing minor injuries

A window came loose and fell on a teacher in the assembly hall of the Garibaldi-Da Vinci Institute in Cesena, Italy.

The school’s CAT campus is on Via Alcide De Gasperi.

The teacher was taken to hospital with minor injuries and was discharged, according to one account.

The incident alarmed students and school staff who were at the school.

It was not the first reported accident involving a fixture at the campus: months earlier, a curtain rod fell and hit a student on the head.

The incidents have raised concerns about school safety, but no further action is reported.
