A group allegedly robbed a businessman in Omsk, taking a bag of cash and other belongings.

The man had planned to exchange the money for foreign currency at a shopping center.

Investigators say two men organized the attack, with one gathering information about the victim and the other finding people to carry it out.

The attackers took a bag containing 8 million rubles; one account puts the total loss, including other items, at 8.106 million rubles.

The victim tried to stop the robbers and jumped into their moving car, but was pushed out.

Authorities say all members of the group were detained, and the case concerns robbery by an organized group using violence.

The suspects are being held while the investigation continues, and investigators are checking whether they were involved in other similar crimes.
