Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant worker killed in drone attack on car

A Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant employee was killed in a drone attack on a civilian car, according to the plant.

A second civilian also died in the attack, which struck the moving car.

The employee worked in a support role at the plant, which is in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region.

The plant and Russian state media attributed the attack to Ukraine.

She was the third plant worker killed in two weeks, and the plant said 13 employees had been killed since April 2026.

The plant’s communications director said staff safety is inseparable from plant safety and that attacks on workers cannot be ignored.
