Kevin Kennedy Returns to TV as Viewers React to His Changed Appearance

Kevin Kennedy appeared on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday to talk about his latest musical, The Picture of Dorian Gray.

He played Curly Watts on Coronation Street, joining the soap in 1983 and leaving in 2003.

Curly left Weatherfield with his wife Emma for a new life in Newcastle.

Some viewers said they did not recognise Kennedy during his TV appearance.

He also said he has been sober for 28 years and credited ITV and Coronation Street with sending him to rehab.

Kennedy said recovery takes hard work and commitment, and that support is available through health centres.
